South Jakarta’s Mexican street food restaurant Bearrito launches vegan quesadillas

It’s pretty easy to find vegan or vegetarian meals in Jakarta these days as more and more F&B establishments are offering herbal options. Bearrito, one of South Jakarta’s best-known taco and Mexican food vendors, has jumped on the trend by now offering a plant-based variation of quesadillas.

Vegan quesadillas are meat and dairy free, made with “beef” and cheddar “cheese” from Green Rebel Foods, a line of ready-to-cook plant-based meat substitutes from Burgreens, one of the pioneer chains and herbal leaders. in Jakarta. Priced at IDR 72,000 (US $ 5) per serving, the dish comes with a pico de gallo dip.

We ordered the vegan quesadillas just yesterday on its launch day. These weren’t our first Bearrito quesadillas, nor are we strangers to Green Rebel Foods and Burgreens, and the meal unsurprisingly met our high expectations.

The vegan quesadillas were “meaty” and “cheesy” enough to satisfy even our deepest carnivorous desires. The fresh and tangy pico de gallo provided a nice balance to the quesadillas, which we found quite filling after just two slices.

If you want a taste of vegan quesadillas, you can order them in store for dinner or take out, through Bearrito’s official Tokopedia page, or through online food delivery services such as Gofood and Grab Food.
